A New Message from Bruce A. Curless, Producing Artistic Director
During these troubling times, the health and safety of our patrons, casts, and crews is our first priority.
Given the current and ever-changing situation of COVID-19, we wanted to update you on our current status and future plans. We will go forward into the next year, if needed, to bring you everything you are looking forward to. Dates for the remaining productions in our 2020 season will be scheduled as soon as plans to reopen entertainment venues are made clear by our Federal, State, and local officials. Personally, I need to feel morally ready to bring you all back into our historic theatre safely. We are exploring new ways to clean and disinfect before and after any given performance. Our theatre remains closed, and, as soon as we are back at our desks, we will be able to address concerns and share more plans.
As you can all imagine, our revenue has taken a tremendous hit and our thanks to all of you who have donated to give us a helping hand. We hope very soon that we will again share many evenings and afternoons with inspiring and entertaining works of theatre. We understand the inconvenience that all of this causes, but we must keep you safe, as well as abide by government mandates. Please share concerns, ideas, and thoughts with us through our new email account, RitzTheatreCOVID19@gmail.com.
We will continue to present past shows and highlights as a way to say thank you for your ongoing support. Here is a link to the full production of The Ghosts of Ravenswood Manor, an original comedy written by playwright Kumar Dari. Even if you saw it on our stage, I think you will enjoy this fresh approach to the original piece. Thanks to Emerald Productions for the excellent filming of our production! Please enjoy, with our compliments.
Thank you for your loyal support and stay safe,
Bruce A. Curless
